Wilma Pistorius (1991) was born in South Africa and has been playing the cello for most of her life. She later moved to the Netherlands where she studied cello and composition, and learned the art of playing with sounds in her head, on her instrument, and on paper.
She enjoys chasing elusive melodies and capturing them in pencil and ink, pursuing the intangible colours of sound that dance through her mind. This sometimes results in what we call a piece of music.
She lives in Amsterdam, where she works, plays, and teaches. (Read more here)
